Aggregates
Mixed skip wastes are fed through our state of the industry sorting system and sized mechanically then fed up to a two line picking station where light papers and plastics are blown off using air knives then metals; timber; plasterboard clean paper and cardboard are picked off the belts by labourers before the final picking bay where any remaining waste residues are removed leaving clean stone to fall off the ends of the belts into the bays as shown below.

The clean rock and stone is added to the directly delivered source segregated rock; block; concrete and stone pile as shown below.

Only incoming skips are also fed through our on site screener to extract out rock and stone and added to this pile. This screening operation also produces a 12mm down topsoil which we are able to sell on to local contractors for a very reasonable price.

The stone pile is then fed through our own crusher which is fitted with a magnet to remove any reinforcing bar and other metals. This crushed aggregate is then fed through the screener to give two different products, a Type II R subbase similar to type one and also a 4 to 6 inch clean rock fill as shown below.
