A & M Smith Skip Hire Limited was formed in 1994 by Scott and Kerry Smith to provide a local skip hire service in the Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Area for small builders and the general public.

The Company expanded its services with the purchase of a Rolonoff vehicle and containers to service the needs of larger building contractors as well as commercial and industrial waste producers.

The Company has continued to expand with the increase in its fleet of vehicles and the installation of one of Scotland’s most up to date state of the art waste sorting systems based at the Bankhead Recycling and Waste Management Centre north of Portlethen Aberdeenshire.

The Company has also obtained a Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) Permit for its recycling and inert landfill operations at the Bankhead site and also achieved ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Registration.
