Q. Do I need permission from the local authority when hiring a skip to sit on the road?
A. Yes, and we do this for you. The council will charge a small fee which is added to the price we charge you. They issue a street permit which is valid for 7 days.

Q. How do I know what size skip I will need?

Q. Where can the skip be left and what if room is tight?
A. We will leave your skip in the most convenient location which might be the driveway or the road. They can also be at business, office and factory locations.

Q. Do you offer a waste disposal service for builders and contractors?
A. Yes we do as we are a licensed and Registered waste recycling company.

Q. What if I cannot get a permit?
A. If your council refuses a street permit - which is rare - we can come along with a skip and our driver will wait while you load it up.

Q. How long can I keep the skip for?
A. The normal Skip Hire period is 6 days.

Q. How much can I put in the skip?
A. You must not load the skip to a level higher than the top.

Q. Is there anything I cannot put into a skip?
A. Asbestos, batteries, tyres, fridges, freezers, any electrical goods, i.e. televisions, stereos or any hazardous or liquid wastes are not allowed to be loaded onto the skip |

Q. What size skip will I need?
Be realistic about what needs to be thrown out as very often two small skips will be more expensive than one bigger one!! If you are moving why pay for items you don't use or need to moved.

Roll On Roll Off
For projects and contracts that involve large volumes of waste A & M Skip Skip Hire can provide Roll On/Off containers. We offer three different sizes of Roll On/Off containers, one at 20 cubic yards (suitable for soils or heavy materials or the delivery of Type II sub base.) Also 30 and 40 Cubic Yard containers for bulky wastes excluding soils plus enclosed and compactor containers.
Euro Bins 
We provide 1000 Litre lockable Euro Bins for account only customers which can be used for mixed wastes or several on site can be used as separate recycling containers for paper and cardboard.
Open and Enclosed Rear End Loader ( R.E.L. Skips )
 
The rear end loader compaction vehicle is the newest addition to our fleet and gives us, the ability to service far more customers in a day than a normal skip or vehicle. This vehicle can empty several containers at the customers premises, compact the waste and leave the emptied containers on site.
We have 8 and 12 Cubic Yard enclosed REL skips which are all emptied at the customers premises by our REL vehicle.
